STARRS Triathlon Club: South Texas Runners, Riders, and Swimmers
STARRS is a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned triathlon/duathlon club. We promote races, workouts, and social activites for multisport athletes. We are based in Corpus Christi, Texas, but our membership and events attract athletes from throughout South Texas and beyond.
In addition to hosting several multisport events each year, STARRS members are involved with weekly workouts, regular social activities, charitable work in the community, monthly meetings, and other fun events like clinics.
STARRS holds meetings the first Tuesday of each month. New members are always welcome. Join us!
One of our own, Barb Savell, was critically injured in a hit and run by a pickup truck while cycling in the bike lane on Ocean Drive. On July 16, 120 cyclists, as well as Corpus Christi Roadrunners and other supporters, rode, ran, and drove to Swantner park for a prayer service in her support.
