Crowd supports Barb
On 8/15 approximately 120 cyclists, along with CC Roadrunners and other supporters, traveled to Swantner Park for a prayer service and show of support for Barb Savell. The ride also helped raise awareness for road safety.

Volunteers Needed 8/8
The STARR Trek is one of our club's signature events, and we welcome a lot of new athletes to the sport of triathlon. We need your help to hold a first-class event. Please volunteer for the race on 8/8 and/or for setup the evening of 8/7.

July 29, Lamar Park
At 6 p.m., we will meet before the Wednesday Night Ride to award checks to the Tarpon Foundation scholarship. The ride to follow will be dedicated to the recovery of Barb Savell and to the memory of Donnie Kloster and Dennis Lee.

Keep Texas Wild

Triathlon: 500 meter swim / 12 mile bike / 5K run

Keep Texas Wild will take place October 11, 2009 at Lake Corpus Christi State Park near Mathis, Texas, approximately an hour north of Corpus Christi. This is a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event.

 

One unique thing about our club is that we are the only club in the region to put on its own triathlons. We organize, sponsor, and participate in our events. Most triathlons are put on by a big production company with big sponsors. Here, we do it the old fashioned way by having a safe race, providing a nice t-shirt, and having good BBQ afterwards. You're more than a bar code or number to us. Volunteers are always appreciated and they will be given a nice t-shirt, and food/drink. It's a wonderful way to end the season.

Details

The state park fee is built into your race entry, so show you bib number at the gate so as not to pay again. BBQ and refreshments provided afterward.
