Crowd supports Barb
On 8/15 approximately 120 cyclists, along with CC Roadrunners and other supporters, traveled to Swantner Park for a prayer service and show of support for Barb Savell. The ride also helped raise awareness for road safety.

Volunteers Needed 8/8
The STARR Trek is one of our club's signature events, and we welcome a lot of new athletes to the sport of triathlon. We need your help to hold a first-class event. Please volunteer for the race on 8/8 and/or for setup the evening of 8/7.

Special Wed Night Ride
July 29, Lamar Park
At 6 p.m., we will meet before the Wednesday Night Ride to award checks to the Tarpon Foundation scholarship. The ride to follow will be dedicated to the recovery of Barb Savell and to the memory of Donnie Kloster and Dennis Lee.

Training: Runs*

Sunday Morning Long Run

Departure time: First group leaves at 6 a.m. for a 3-mile warmup, then circles back at 6:30 for new arrivals. Some groups depart earlier during marathon training periods.
Distance: Varies depending on heat and training season, but generally anywhere from 8 to 12 miles, with possibilities to either go longer or turn back sooner
Pace: Ranging from 9:30/mile to 7:30/mile depending on season and group. Groups of various paces form. Runners wait at water stops to regroup.
Meet at: Aqua Java on Water Street

Monday Evening Uptown, Downtown, and All Around Run

Departure time: 6:10 p.m.
Distance: Approximately 4 miles
Pace: 9 min/mile
Meet at: The YMCA parking lot in downtown Corpus

Thursday Evening Run

Departure time: 7:00 p.m. Standard Time and 6:00 p.m. during Daylight Savings Time
Distance: 5.8 miles or 3 miles
Pace:Various speeds 
Meet at: Don Winkley's house, 6002 Pinehurst Dr.

Details: New runners welcome. Social afterward.

Thursday Lake Swim/Run

Open water swim and run afterward. Lake Corpus Christi State Park at 6:15 p.m. by the south boat ramp. Bring your dog for a swim and don't forget the leash.
